As our products are custom-made upon order and fulfilled through our partner, OTC Printers, we adhere to a structured refund and return policy that complies with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA) No. 68 of 2008. This policy outlines the conditions under which returns, refunds, or exchanges may be processed. Please review it carefully before making a purchase.

Due to the personalised nature of print-on-demand items, returns are limited to instances of manufacturing defects, damage during transit, or incorrect fulfilment. We do not accept returns for change of mind, sizing errors selected by the customer, or other subjective preferences.

Eligibility for Returns and Refunds

Returns or refunds are eligible under the following circumstances:

  • Defective or Damaged Products: If the item arrives with manufacturing defects (e.g., poor print quality, material flaws) or is damaged during shipping.
  • Incorrect Item Received: If the product shipped does not match the ordered design, size, or specifications.
  • Non-Eligible Cases: Returns are not accepted for:
    • Custom-printed items due to personal dissatisfaction, such as colour variations caused by screen calibration differences or minor discrepancies in print placement.
    • Items that have been used, washed, or altered in any way.
    • Clearance or discontinued products.
    • Food-related, personal care, or perishable homeware items (if applicable).

All claims must be reported within 14 days of delivery to align with standard industry practices and our fulfilment partner’s guidelines. Failure to report issues within this timeframe may result in denial of the request.

Return Process

To initiate a return:

  1. Contact our customer support team via email at info@christianfamily.store within 14 days of receiving your order. Provide your order number, a detailed description of the issue, and clear photographs of the product and packaging.
  2. Our team will review your request and, if approved, provide a return authorisation and shipping instructions. Returns without prior approval will not be accepted.
  3. Ship the item back to the designated address (provided upon approval) in its original packaging. The product must be unused and in resealable condition.
  4. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the issue is due to our error (e.g., wrong item shipped) or a verified manufacturing defect, in which case we will reimburse reasonable return shipping fees.

We recommend using a tracked shipping method for returns, as Christian Family Store is not liable for items lost in transit.

Refunds and Exchanges

  • Inspection and Processing: Upon receipt of the returned item, our fulfilment partner (OTC Printing) will inspect it to confirm eligibility. This process may take up to 7 business days.
  • Refund Issuance: If approved, a full refund (excluding original shipping fees) will be issued to the original payment method within 5-10 business days after inspection. Refunds for defective items may include reimbursement for return shipping upon provision of receipts.
  • Exchanges: Exchanges for the same item in a different size or colour may be offered at our discretion, subject to availability. The customer is responsible for additional shipping costs.
  • Partial Refunds: In cases of minor issues, we may offer a partial refund or store credit instead of a full return.
  • Cancellation of Orders: Orders may be cancelled prior to production commencement (typically within 24 hours of placement). Once production begins, cancellations are not possible, and standard return policies apply. Cancellation requests after this period may incur a handling fee of up to 15% of the order value.

Shipping and Delivery Considerations

Our products are printed and shipped locally in South Africa by OTC Printing, with average delivery times of 5-7 business days within the country. Shipping fees are non-refundable except in cases of non-delivery due to our error. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs (for international orders), or force majeure events.

Warranties and Limitations

All products carry a limited warranty against manufacturing defects for 30 days from delivery. This does not cover normal wear and tear, improper care, or misuse. Under the CPA, consumers have the right to safe, good-quality goods, and we will honour implied warranties accordingly.
